
Dr. Shaveta Menon
OVERVIEW

Dr. Shaveta Menon is presently working as an Assistant Professor at the DYPU School of Public Health and has been actively engaged in academia for six and a half years. A dentist by training and a gold medalist in Master’s in Public Health, she completed her MPhil and PhD from the Centre of Social Medicine and Community Health, Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU). Her academic and research work is grounded in community-based research with a strong focus on policy-related issues and their implications for population health. Over the years, she has worked across diverse areas including oral health, tobacco use and political economy of health workers primarily through the lens of Health Policy and Systems Research (HPSR). She is currently engaging with research in mental health and Rabies and is particularly motivated to explore interdisciplinary approaches within this domain.
