About the
School of Architecture
Established in 1992 with the Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) programme—affiliated to the University of Mumbai and approved by the Council of Architecture—the School expanded with the introduction of the M. Arch in Urban Design in 2014. In 2019, it became part of DY Patil Deemed to be University, Navi Mumbai, and has since evolved into a dynamic, multidisciplinary institution. Today, it offers undergraduate programmes in Interior Design, Product Design, and Visual Arts, along with M. Arch in Environmental Architecture, M. Arch in Advanced Computation in Architecture & Design, and M. Plan. in Urban Planning.
The School is distinguished by its state-of-the-art, design-driven infrastructure—advanced fabrication labs, digital computation facilities, ceramics, sculpture and painting studios, and collaborative learning environments—that actively foster hands-on learning, experimentation, and research-led innovation. This multidisciplinary ecosystem enables the school to cultivate future-ready, industry-aligned professionals equipped to engage with global design challenges.

Method & Practice of Teaching The teaching & learning is centered around the development of the qualities most needed to be a good Architect.
