About the Chief Mentor:
Dr. Sejal Ajmera
is an ObGyn practising in Mumbai (Juhu, Surya Hosp Santacruz), Hyderabad & ex consultant in Dubai (NMC Gp of hospitals)
She is the founder President of IAVA (Indian Academy of Vaginal Aesthetics) and has many docs trained under her.
She has been in practice since 24 years, & has had medical training in some of the best institutes of India, Singapore, France, Germany and 2 Gynae Aesthetic Fellowships from USA (2012 with Dr. Alinsod, and a cadaveric course with Dr. Pelosi in 2019)She is the pioneer in India of the subspecialty “Aesthetic n Functional Gynae”. She holds scientific talks, doctors trainings, and is invited world over as a speaker, for presentations & procedure demonstrations. She has published articles in national and international peer reviewed journals.
She has many prestigious awards in the field of ObGyn including an MD Gold medal, Best Resident Doctor, Traveling Fellowship Award 2000-2001 by Maharashtra ObGyns for meritorious work amongst young gynaecologists, “Best Gynae of the year” Western zone in 2011, by cabinet minister, Maharashtra. The Indumati Jhaveri prize, the VG Kamat medal, the L M Shah prize, amongst others.
She runs an insta handle called @once.upon.a.vagina for spreading knowledge on women’s health issues.
She has to her credit one of the smallest babies in India born by her at 22.6 weeks, who has an intact survival.She has been on the BBC and Forbes India Magazine.
In 2022 she was voted as Inspirational Personality Economic Times for exemplary work towards Womens Health.She was instrumental in making the delivery scene of 3 Idiots.

Program Highlights/Course description –
Cosmetic Gynecology is a discipline dedicated to integrated medical and surgical care of women’s intimate Quality of Life issues throughout their lifespan. It requires extensive study and understanding of basic Obstetrics & Gynecology including reproductive physiology, female sexual function & dysfunction, the understanding of plastic & cosmetic aspects of surgery, a woman’s sexual needs and demands, the changes which ageing brings into a woman at physical as well as psychological levels as it relates to female sexuality; as well as the physiologic, social, cultural, environmental, and genetic factors that influence women. It gives a unique perspective in addressing Quality of Life healthcare issues of women, and equips a Cosmetic Gynaecologist to deliver exactly what women want. To alleviate this need, we need to train primary care gynecologists who would help bridge this gap. With this in mind, we would like to initiate a fellowship in cosmetic gynecology.
