About The ORE & LDS
The Overseas Registration Exam (ORE) tests the clinical skills and knowledge, competence, and familiarity in the different aspects of dentistry which a candidate is expected to have in order to practice dentistry in the United Kingdom. The exam will be conducted in two parts, in London, UK, multiple times throughout the year. Both parts of the exam are mapped to learning outcomes and a candidate could be tested on any aspects of dentistry. The exam uses modern assessment methods to ensure a robust and consistent exam.
Licence in Dental Surgery (LDS) is a prestigious UK dental licensing examination conducted by the Royal College of Surgeons of England for overseas-qualified dentists. Recognised by the General Dental Council (GDC), the LDS offers a pathway towards GDC registration and a rewarding career in UK dentistry. LDS Part 1 is a remotely invigilated, theory-based single-best-answer examination, while LDS Part 2 & LDS Part 3 are face-to-face examinations conducted in London,UK assessing clinical knowledge, practical skills etc. All the three parts of the exams are conducted multiple times throughout the year.
