About Program Director & Chief Mentor

Dr. Arun Kumar Mathur

Dr. Arun Kumar Mathur is a globally recognized expert in Pharmaceutical Stability and Analytical Sciences with over 42 years of distinguished leadership in R&D, analytical development, and regulatory compliance across leading pharmaceutical organizations. He holds a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Stability and Analytical Sciences from Kennedy University of Baptist, Florida, USA. Throughout his career, he has played a pivotal role in the development, validation, and commercialization of innovative pharmaceutical formulations, stability programs, and quality management systems aligned with international regulatory standards.

Dr. Mathur has held senior leadership positions with globally reputed companies including Novartis, Sandoz, Ranbaxy, and Depco United.

His expertise covers stability study design as per International Council for Harmonisation of Technical Requirements for Pharmaceuticals for Human Use (ICH) Guidelines (Q1–Q12), analytical method development and validation, and technology transfer. He is proficient in risk-based GMP and Good Documentation Practices (GDP) implementation. As a mentor and consultant, he supports R&D excellence, regulatory compliance, and talent development.

He has successfully led cross-functional global teams, established advanced stability centres, and managed regulatory inspections and audits by the United States Food and Drug Administration (USFDA), European Medicines Agency (EMA), Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA), and World Health Organization (WHO), ensuring strong compliance frameworks and inspection readiness.

Prof. Dr. Roshankumar Palewar ( Professor – of- Practice & Fellowship Faculty)

Prof. Dr. Roshankumar Palewar is a pharmaceutical strategy and commercialization leader with over two decades of multinational experience across global R&D governance, strategy, and portfolio lifecycle management. His prior leadership roles with Merck and Novartis involved cross-regional program execution, regulatory-aligned product development, and commercialization planning across regulated and emerging markets.

As Professor-of-Practice and Faculty for the Fellowship Program, he integrates industry experience with structured academic learning. His modules focus on pharmaceutical technology, product development, commercialization science, market access strategy, portfolio governance, and digital health systems.

Through case-based instruction and translational industry insights, he mentors fellows in innovation-driven healthcare ecosystems with strategic clarity and operational discipline

About the
Program

The School of Pharmacy at DYPUSOP has introduced two 1-Year Executive Weekend Fellowships designed to help working professionals deepen their industry expertise without interrupting their careers. The Analytical Method Development & Validation (AMDV) fellowship focuses on advanced analytical practices including Quality by Design (QbD), Design of Experiments (DoE), ICH validation guidelines, stability-indicating method development, analytical lifecycle management, and regulatory documentation. The Industrial Pharmacy & Technology Transfer (IPTT) fellowship provides a comprehensive understanding of the pharmaceutical product lifecycle, covering scale-up processes, technology transfer strategies, validation systems, regulatory compliance, and development of complex generics. Both programs are led by globally experienced pharmaceutical leaders and are structured as weekend executive modules to deliver practical, industry-aligned, and execution-driven specialization for professionals seeking to advance in the pharmaceutical sector.

  1. Pharm with minimum 3 years of industry/academic experience.
  2. Pharm/ M. Sc.
  3. Ph.D. (Pharmaceutical Sciences / related field)

Note: Fresher’s and experienced candidates with PG / Ph.D. can apply.
