Executive MPH (For Working Professionals)

The Executive Master of Public Health (Executive MPH) at the School of Public Health, DY Patil Deemed to be University (DYPU), Navi Mumbai, is a hybrid postgraduate programme tailored to meet the needs of busy working professionals. Admission Eligibility Criteria:

• Individuals with a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of four years of relevant work experience.
• Individuals with a Master’s degree and a minimum of two years of relevant work experience.
• Individuals with a Doctoral (or international equivalent) degree in a field related to public health, for example Physicians, Dentists, Pharmacists, and those with a Doctorate in the Biological, Behavioural, or Social Sciences.

Application Window: The last round of applications is closed one month prior to the start of the programme. The programme commences in the first week of February every year. Candidates should refer to the official DY Patil University admissions page for the current application cycle.

• E MPH is a hybrid programme for two academic years of four semesters.
• This hybrid programme has been tailored to meet the needs of busy working professionals. The overarching objective of this MPH programme is to empower these individuals with the skills and expertise necessary to excel in their roles as public health specialists.
• Live and recorded lectures are hosted through the TCS Ion learning management portal. It is mandatory for every student to attend a minimum of two live lectures a week.
• Students also need to attend a minimum of 20% of the total credit hours in person, which essentially translates to 6 weeks of contact hours in each academic year.
• The programme consists of core courses and choice-based elective courses that need to be completed within the first one and a half years.
• The second half of the second year provides learners the flexibility to either carry out a capstone project or a public health practicum that could be completed either within their current workplaces, or via remote arrangements, or through flexible, project-based community placements.

Integrated MPH-PhD Options

The integrated MPH-PhD gives you the opportunity to extend your knowledge and skills in public health research through additional research methodology courses and/or an advanced research project and progress from a coursework master’s degree to enrolment in a PhD.
