Objectives
Master of Science in Environment and Sustainability (MSc ES) is a full-time postgraduate programme offered by the School of Public Health at DYPU. The curriculum of the programme is aligned with the vision of the National Education Policy 2020 and global sustainability priorities. The programme is designed to equip graduates with advanced scientific knowledge, analytical tools, and interdisciplinary perspectives required to understand and address complex environmental challenges. The programme integrates concepts from environmental science, public health, policy, geospatial sciences, biotechnology, and data analytics. Courses such as air quality and atmospheric chemistry, climate change and impact, geoinformatics for environmental science, environmental economics, groundwater hydrology, carbon capture and storage, and environmental law and public policy enable students to critically examine environmental issues and design evidence-based solutions. Through research-oriented training, computational tools such as R programming, and exposure to emerging fields such as wastewater-based surveillance and bioremediation biotechnology, the programme aims to develop professionals capable of contributing to environmental governance, sustainability planning, and scientific research.
