About the
Program

The B.Sc. (Hons) in Interior Design is a future-focused undergraduate program that prepares students to create meaningful, functional, and human-centric interior environments. It goes beyond conventional decoration to engage with space as a dynamic system—integrating aesthetics, technology, materiality, user experience, and market understanding, with a strong emphasis on research-driven, design-led entrepreneurial thinking.

Designed as a full-time, studio-intensive course, the program balances creative exploration with technical proficiency. Students learn to research, conceptualize, visualize, and execute interior spaces across residential, commercial, and public contexts.

The curriculum is anchored in four foundational pillars—Arts & Crafts, Design, Manufacturability, and Entrepreneurship—and follows a progressive learning model:

Arts & Crafts: Observations, hand skills, material sensitivity, and creative expression

Design: Spatial thinking, user-centric approaches, and problem-solving skills

Manufacturability: Understanding materials, construction systems, ergonomics, and sustainability

Entrepreneurship: Integrating research, market understanding, and professional practice through industry exposure

Integrated Practice: Applying learning through model making, workshops, prototyping, competitions, exhibitions, site visits, and internships

Learning extends beyond the classroom, ensuring practical exposure, research capability, and industry readiness. The program equips students to create interiors that are visually compelling, functional, inclusive, and responsive to evolving contexts.
