This program uniquely design to bring in traditional and modern technology art and craft practices together with help of research hands on activates expert guideline and study tour.

The Bachelor of Visual Arts (BVA) program provides a holistic education that integrates artistic excellence with a global perspective, encouraging students to explore diverse cultural influences and contemporary art movements. It emphasizes societal engagement, urging students to address social, political, and environmental issues through their creative practice. Sustainable engagement is a key focus, promoting eco-friendly materials, responsible artistic processes, and awareness of environmental concerns. The program also nurtures an appreciation for heritage, enabling students to study, preserve, and reinterpret traditional art forms in a modern context. Critical writing is an essential component, equipping students with the ability to analyse, interpret, and articulate their ideas effectively through art criticism and academic discourse. Additionally, the BVA program fosters art entrepreneurship, empowering students with business acumen, marketing strategies, and professional skills to establish successful careers in the creative industries, whether as independent artists, curators, designers, or cultural entrepreneurs.

Duration

4 years comprising 3 years of full-time learning in specified branch (namely- Painting/Sculpture/Ceramics and Pottery) with 1st year of Foundation Course. Part 1 – Foundation Course – 1 year (semester 1 and semester 2) Part 2 – 3 years of selected Specialize Branch (semester 3 to semester 8)


Eligibility

1. An applicant for admission to the course must have completed a 10+2 or Pre-University examination from a recognized institute or Board.
