About the
Program
The School of Physiotherapy will be implementing the curriculum proposed by the National Council of Allied and Health Care Professionals from the academic year 2026 for Bachelor’s of Physiotherapy (B.P.T) program
The aim and objectives of the B.P.T curriculum are to educate and train a student as a qualified Physiotherapist who will be able to impart health services safely and effectively to the community in terms of health promotion, functional diagnosis, prevention and treatment of dysfunction in different fields of medical science.
The teaching and training program shall be an evolving one and there shall be more emphasis on demonstration, clinical work, seminars, and group discussion than on classroom teaching. The student shall have clinical experience in different fields like Orthopedics, Neurology, Chest and Cardiac conditions, Pediatrics, and Surgery. Students shall visit and work at community centers like primary health centers, geriatric homes, paraplegic homes, M.B.A Gods foundation etc. as a part of training for community rehabilitation. The progress of the student shall be monitored through seasonal examinations. A record of student’s work shall be maintained which would form the base for internal assessment. The students shall be encouraged to do clinical presentations, participate in group discussions and seminars, to prepare community-related projects to enable them to develop personality, expression, and acquire a depth of knowledge.

# Mandatory Rotatory Internship after Final year for 365 days (1 year)
Eligibility
Candidates seeking admission to the Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) programme must fulfill the following eligibility criteria as prescribed by the National Commission for Allied and Healthcare Professions (NCAHP):
- The candidate must have passed the Higher Secondary (10+2) or equivalent examination by a recognized Indian Board or a duly constituted Board or National Open School with pass marks with minimum 50% aggregate of Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany & Zoology).
- Admission to the Bachelor of Physiotherapy course shall be made based on eligibility (minimum 50% with physics, chemistry and biology) and the merit list based on (10+2) passing marks.
- Candidates who have studied abroad and have passed the equivalent qualification as determined by the Association of Indian Universities and Equivalence Committee of the NCAHP, and must fulfil the above criteria.
- The candidate must have completed 17 years of age on or before the date of admission.
- The candidates are required to submit a certificate of Physical fitness from an Authorized Medical Attendant to ascertain that the candidate does not have any physical disability as per the NCAHP guidelines.
- Candidates with “Specified Disabilities” (PwD) are eligible for admission in accordance with the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016 and the NCAHP guidelines.
- Reservation and eligibility under the PwD quota shall be applicable as per the prevailing Government and regulatory authority norms, subject to assessment by the competent medical authority.
