Amaryllis 2023

This year’s first sports event was held by the Student Council2022-23 of D. Y. Patil University School of Dentistry “Amaryllis” on 12th and 13th January 2023.

 

 

The events were conducted in the Football ground and the TMGA indoor sports facilities were used.

 

The staff along with the students took an active participation for various sporting activity.

 

Day 1: 12th March 2023

 

The events kick started with chess, table tennis and carroms at the indoor sports Hall where a display of mind precision and intellect were seen in all the games.

This was followed by Badminton which was intense and competitive.

 

After a break started the Volleyball and Throwball matches. It was a game of great involvement and enthusiasm. Separate matches were held for staff, girls and boys for each sport event played. With great eagerness the first day events had ended with lots of hope and promise of having lots of fun everyone looked forward for the second day of the event.

 

Day 2: 13th January 2023

 

Second day of track and field events kick started with the inaugural ceremony by our respected Dean, Dr. Gaurang Mistry alongside our Vice Dean, Dr. Trivelle Pereira alongwith the Head of the Department of Periodontics and Implantology, Dr. Arvind Shetty alongside the staff.

 

The event started with series various series of races like 100m, 200m, 400m and relay race. Both staff and students  participated with great energy and enthusiasm.

 

A power packed game of shotput took place on the ground. The participants put up a really good show of the same with menial differences. The energy of the group further brightened the day. This was followed by ‘tug of war’ which had a great amount of energy and enthusiasm.

 

The day ended with lots of memories and fun to take back home.
