The capacity of 45,000 makes it the ninth-largest cricket stadium in India. The stadium has been host to IPL finals in 2008 and 2010. It has also been the home of the Mumbai City FC franchise in the ISL for the first two years (2014 & 2015). In 2017, the DY Patil Stadium was one of the venues for the FIFA U-17 World Cup, India’s first-ever FIFA tournament. After putting up an impressive performance, the stadium is now gearing to host the final of the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in 2021. The stadium has also seen many world-famous artists like A.R. Rahman, Arijit Singh, Justin Bieber, Katy Perry, DuaLipa and U2 enthrall the audience with their amazing performances.
