Invitation and Instructions to Degree Awardees

 

It is a pleasure to inform you that the Twentieth Convocation of D Y Patil (Deemed to be University) will be held on 10th  February 2026  from 9 am to 5pm  at University Ground, D Y Patil (Deemed to be University), Nerul , Navi Mumbai.

We most happily extend an invitation to your parents too (Maximum 2 members), to attend the Convocation Ceremony. Looking forward to see you at the Convocation

 Kindly note the following instructions:

  • Students are requested to report to the respective faculty / Official-in-charge designated by the respective schools.
  • Students attending in person are requested to register at the designated location and time conveyed to you by the respective schools and complete the registration formalities. 
  • Students will be given a Convocation Gown & Stole after registration (UG – Maroon Stole, PG – Blue Stole, PhD – Magenta  Stole, Gold Medallists – Muster Stole )
  • On the completion of the ceremony, students must return Gown and Cap to their respective school.The Convocation Stole will remain with the students as a memoir of D Y Patil (Deemed to be University).
  • Photo session shall be scheduled by the respective schools and slots shall be conveyed to the students by the school. 
  • By 4.00 pm, the students have to stand for the formation of the procession in a specific area indicated. The details will be conveyed at the information desk. Further instructions will be given by the concerned authorities at respective locations.
  • Convocation procession starts at 4.30 pm.
  • All the students are requested to maintain the decorum of the formal function.
  • Do not use cameras and mobiles at the venue during the ceremony.
  • No Student will be allowed to leave the seat under any circumstances till the procession leaves the venue after function.
  • Dress code: All participants in the ceremony are requested to wear formal INDIAN dress only.
    • Male – Formal dress (like kurta-pyjama or shirt- pant)’
    • Female  –Formal dress (like salwar set, chudidaar set or Saree
  • NOTE: No Western Dress shall be allowed.
    1. There will be designated place reserved for parents. In case parents / members of family wish to accompany their wards, they are requested to occupy the seats before 4.00 pm for security reasons.
    2. In case of emergency, kindly contact the respective school in-charges/point of contact.
