2026 ALSA Law and Technology Conference, Navi Mumbai, India.

Call for Abstracts, Papers, and Sideline Events

The DY Patil University School of Law, Navi Mumbai, India, and the Asian Law Schools Association (ALSA) Law and Technology Chapter are pleased to announce a joint conference taking place from December 11-13, 2026, themed “Technology Governance or Technology Government”.

In 2026, technology is all-pervasive: from social platforms and state surveillance tools to physical AI operating drones and agricultural robotics. While technology represents aspirational development, it can also accentuate existing inequalities.

Following the success of previous years, the 2026 Conference invites global scholars to gather and engage in critical, novel discussions about the future of technology and how the law will—or should—interact with it.

To provide participants with richer academic publication opportunities, this conference features a “Dual-Track” submission and presentation model. We highly encourage researchers who plan to attend the conference to submit their work early to our exclusive “Journal Symposium” track

Track 1: General Conference Papers
We welcome you to submit your abstract or full paper addressing a wide range of law and technology topics. Accepted authors will present and discuss their research during the main conference sessions.

Track 2: Symposium Call for Papers & Journal Publication
How it Works: Authors interested in this track should submit Full Papers specifically addressing our designated symposium theme: “Addressing the IT to AI journey: is there an effective regulator?”.

Publication Opportunity: Interesting papers selected from this track will be published in a special edition of Law, Technology and Humans, an international, open-access, peer-reviewed journal (https://lthj.qut.edu.au/).

See the full “Call for Papers and Symposium” in the link below. Interested authors are advised to maintain distinction between the two tracks while they formulate their interest to attend.
