TEACHERS DAY &
FRIENDSHIP DAY CELEBRATION

The Teachers’ Day and Friendship Day celebration held on 6th September 2023, organized by the Cultural and Literary Committee of DY Patil University School of Management, was an outstanding success. The event brought together students, teachers, and faculty members in a joyful atmosphere in the college campus.

The event began at 10:30 am with solemnity, as Saraswati Vandana was played to seek blessings for knowledge and wisdom. This was followed by the Indian National Anthem. We were honored to have the special presence of our director Dr R. Gopal sir, our dean Dr Vani Kamat ma’am and administrator Dr Sunil Surte sir, they who graced the occasion with their inspiring words and welcomed the newly joined first year students. The event was hosted by Abhilasha Chatterjee and Maahi Singh. It featured a series of captivating cultural performances that showcased the diverse talents of our college community:

A mesmerizing traditional dance performance (Ganapati Vandana) opened the cultural festivities. Then an Indo music performance by Nikhil and Rohit Nalawade. ‘Shades’ enthralled the crowd with a high-energy Bollywood dance performance. The college band ‘Raga’ performed for the very first time and gave a soulful musical performance that resonated with the audience’s hearts.
Apart from the captivating performances, attendees enjoyed a variety of stalls set up on the campus. Jewellery stall that attracted a lot of fashion enthusiasts. A stall for attendees to savour the culinary delights such as paani puri and dahi puri. An artistic corner where students displayed their creativity at the finger painting stall. Students who pre-booked handmade chocolates and fresh roses were pleasantly surprised with these sweet tokens of affection.

A special highlight of the evening was the Teachers fashion ramp walk, where all the teachers and faculty members of the college graced the stage in their stylish ensembles.
To conclude the evening on a high note, a DJ kept the energy levels soaring as students
and teachers danced and celebrated the spirit of the event. The event was wrapped up by 2:30 pm.
The event was a huge success. We received a very positive feedback from many
attendees. This event was another successful event hosted by the Cultural and Literary Committee, with Saleha Sayani as the Cultural Secretary along her team, Heads of Department and committee members; under the guidance of Dr Roshni Sawant ma’am, the faculty Head of Cultural and Literary Committee.
