Programme
Overview
The B.Tech in Computer Engineering at Ramrao Adik Institute of Technology (RAIT), DY Patil University, Navi Mumbai, is a four-year undergraduate programme that builds engineers who can design, build, and run modern computing systems. The curriculum blends the hardware side of computing (electronics, processors, embedded systems, computer networks) with the software side (programming, data structures, databases, operating systems, software engineering).
The programme is delivered as per the latest National Education Policy (NEP) revisions, with structured pathways into emerging areas through minor course options. Students work on real projects from the early years, build a portfolio through internships, and graduate with the technical skills and professional fluency needed for software, systems, and IT careers.
The B.Tech Computer Engineering curriculum covers:
- Mathematics, applied mathematics, and engineering fundamentals
- Programming in high-level languages, data structures, and algorithms
- Computer architecture, operating systems, and computer networks
- Database management systems and software engineering processes
- Web technologies, mobile applications, and cloud computing fundamentals
- Cyber security, information security, and ethical computing practice
- Project work, internships, and a final-year capstone project
